Julianne Moore Poses NUDE With Lion Cubs And Purses For Bulgari (PHOTOS)

Actress Julianne Moore stripped down for Bulgari's Fall-Winter 2010-11 ad campaign, striking a pose wearing nothing but bling-blingy jewels. The 49-year-old looks stunning alongside adorable lion cubs and super-expensive handbags. Moore was also the face of the luxury brand's Spring-Summer 2010 campaign. Both series were shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Take a look:

I am embarrassed to admit that I am in this part of HPOST city, and I will refrain
from naming it, but I am a sucker for naked lions, must be a quirk. Anyhow, we
see that backdrop that is supposed to upstage the cuties, and it doesn't. Dressed
in lions, this lady would go unnoticed on 5th Avenue. And, at least they are alive.

Coming back to this after reading her bio: O.k., Liz, this is the more serious
reply, well perhaps. In fact I knew nothing about her. I haven't paid attention to
mainstream movies in decades, and I have an eclectic background in show biz
that has made a lot of it less interesting to me through saturation. So here indeed
we do have a seemingly reasonable, talented person who in middle age is making
thoughtful choices about family, career, whatnot. Pictures of her also show an
attractive but identifiably human being. This picture sets up an icon that goes
back to Babylon. There is nothing human or humane about it; in her kitty drenched
persona, she is playing the ice cold erotic Goddess, and that is what you get,
a face that is frozen in its beauty and lost to any warmth what so ever. This
is the siren. In 2010, the siren is corny. It is contemptuous of its intended target,
any who may respond, and in its coldness, the face is indifferent to the lion cubs
being exploited. And in 2010, it backfires, since most everyone was going ooh ahh
over the cubs. Now what is a nice, intelligent, married with kids, middle aged
actress doing with this stunt? A spokesperson for Revlon--bad--who one contributed
2k to Kerry--good? And this. A rather confusing sort, I would say.

Let's get something straight. When you pose with things covering up your naughty parts, that's not "nude." I'm tired of people saying that celebrities are posing nude when they're not.

Miley Cyrus, for example, did not pose nude. She covered up. That's not nude. Period. Nude is when you're naked and exposed. Covered by a sheet--or lion cubs and a purse--is not nude.

Please no jokes about me being disappointed about a lack of Julianne Moore nakedness. That's a valid point, but not the point here. I just don't want to see something like "Hillary Duff poses nude (underneath her overcoat)." It's stupid.
