John Edwards Movie

RALEIGH, N.C. — An insider's account of John Edwards' affair and the lengths he went to hide his mistress will be developed into a movie, a former aide to the two-time presidential candidate said Thursday.

Andrew Young said that he has reached a deal with writer and producer Aaron Sorkin. He declined to discuss the terms of the agreement, but Sorkin confirmed he had acquired the rights to Young's book, "The Politician."

"This is a first-hand account of an extraordinary story filled with motivations, decisions and consequences that would have lit Shakespeare up," Sorkin said in a statement. "There's much more to Andrew's book than what has been reported and I'm grateful that he's trusting me with it."

The book detailed how he helped hide Edwards' mistress during the candidate's second campaign for the White House. Sorkin was the writer of the play "A Few Good Men" and the television series "The West Wing."

"He was the perfect one to write this," Young said. "I was really impressed by him and really impressed how he was focused on the tragedy of this rather than the tawdry."

Young declined to speculate about which actors might play which parts.

In the aftermath of the 2008 presidential campaign, Edwards has admitted that he fathered a child with Rielle Hunter. The former North Carolina senator and his wife are now separated.

Edwards' mistress, Rielle Hunter, is locked in a legal battle with Young over a sex tape that Young said shows the presidential candidate. Young contends that he found the tape in a box of trash that she left behind while Hunter argues that the tape was with her personal property.

It is entirely possible that during their trip to Japan, John and Elizabeth will look back at their relationship, their children, and their marriage vows and realize the powerful meaning of "until death do us part." The thought must be terrifying to Rielle Hunter.
So says you alls favorite media source: "The National Enquirer".

Sorkin risks his directorial debut on a deal made with an admitted liar, who used deceit and trickery for monetary gain. Why would Sorkin base so much of his professional cred on a "tell-all" (the-way-to-the-bank) misprint by an admitted unscrupulous, lying, not to be trusted tattle-taler? Young facilitated, and was the primary actor in, the Edwards cover-up. This reprehensible poseur manipulated and exploited the situation for profit and revenge. He sold his and his childrens' souls to do so. He booked this excrement, and now wants it filmed. The stench cannot be irradicated. The near-miss status of all these LOSERS disqualifies them from being interesting in any context, especially celluloid. A movie, as the book, adds nothing 'edifying' to viewers. Time is money, not to be squandered on this ilk. It's not even titillating. No one could 'get off' on the disgusting circumstances of these really no-account, of no import, people. (A failed, ex-pres candidate diddled an in-denial, hotel groupie while campaigning? while his 'body man' was furiously taking notes in order to get rich at a later date.) Even Hollywood could not put lipstick on that pig. Sorkin could save a bundle, and direct something worth watching. People shouldn't waste their time or money "at the movies" over this. ANYONE WHO WASTED MONEY ON THE BOOK SHOULD RETURN IT FOR A FULL REFUND.

Hello, Elizabeth Edwards. See you're still doing everything you can to slime Andrew Young. Still making bizarre and childish phone calls to Andrew's poor wife? Nobody deserves to cash in more than Andrew Young. After what he went through with pig John and his awful wife, I say give him a ton of cash. John Edwards is truly vile and I, for one, can't wait to see this movie.

Tank.

Will this unappetizing group of poseurs never go away!

Remember the burning log that tv channels used to show Christmas eve? I'd rather watch that.

Candidate, wife, mistress, enabler. Ugh, ugh, ugh, and ugh.

Too many drugs in Hollywood if they're really thinking about a movie about John Edwards. I guess they could always sell it to Al Queda for propaganda pointing out the doo doo the Americans have for National politicians (heck, this dude even ran for POTUS)
After thought: I do unfortunately know who John Edwards is, but who is this guy Snorkel or Snorkin or whatever?

Oh yeah, now this is the kind of movie we have all been waiting for. Something the kids will really enjoy. (NOT) And of course when Rielle sues she will get most of the profits. This is what is wrong with this country..................

No interest at all.

The funny thing is that Yahoo posted this story and as of 7:33 AM EST they have a video of Andrew Young, the civil rights leader accompanying this story, not Andrew Young, the campaign worker.
Fact Checkers should, like, check facts.

Only way I'd watch a movie about this egotistical criminal, is if it were a comedy in a manner similar to "Fargo". He should be in prison for all the money he scammed from good people.

I realized he was a bad apple when he stole charity money and converted it into campaign funds for himself.

That silly looking secretaty in 30 Rock is a look alike to Edwards.
Oh wait, why do i even care, I won`t be watching that series or movie or whatever...

This will be an all time horror/slime ball movie. Maybe resurrect "Tiny Tim" to play the philandering , cheating, lying two bit hair do John Edwards. Tiny's high pitched voice screaming denials would match perfectly John Edwards' worthless life.

I'll lose my job over this but casting is already moving ahead.
I'm hearing Sorkin is favoring Clint Howard ("Ice Cream Man") in the lead as Sen Edwards, Sandra Bernhard as Liz,.
Kinda of a battle for the Young parts, although, Sorkin favoring the Gosselins in a package deal that would assure endless Today Show cross-promotions. Producer-Partners are said to be pulling for Nick Cage and Paris Hilton as the logical choice.
Everyone associated with deal acknowledges Lindsay Lohan has the lock on the Hunter role.
A source admitts the unlikelyhood of any insurance company underwriting the project.

Do not insult Linsey Lohan, way too pretty to play Hunter..

I think they should cast Blago as Edwards. They both have a hair fetish and Blago needs a job.
