China UFO Sightings, Back-To-Back, Alarm Residents (VIDEO, POLL)

A second China UFO sighting has residents on edge, just seven days after an unidentified flying object shut down a Chinese airport.

The new UFO sighting took place in Chongqing in eastern China on July 15. Witnesses told Shanghai Daily they saw the same thing: "four lantern-like objects forming a diamond shape that hovered over the city's Shaping Park for over an hour."

Like the one before it, there has been no official explanation to date for this latest incident.

Last week, flights were diverted in Hangzhou -- also in eastern China -- after a mysterious object was seen hovering in the sky, People's Daily reports.

State-run Xinhua News Agency quoted a head of air traffic control as saying, "No conclusion has yet been drawn" about the UFO by the airport.

China Daily reported that a source with knowledge of the matter said there was a military link but made no further comment.

UFO sightings in China are not as common as some places, and there have been only a handful of well-publicized incidents in the last several decades.

UPDATE: HuffPost reader Terry Brown emailed in that the video above was actually from a June 30 "UFO" sighting in Central Asia, despite other reports claiming it was from July 7. There is no known video of the subsequent sightings on July 7 and July 15, says Brown, but this picture has circulated for the July 7 incident. In any case, that makes multiple China UFO sightings in the last several weeks, and they are alarming its residents.

I still feel like its the Chinese Military doing these experiments. Why 2 major siting within a month took place (http://www.mentalmania.com/2010/07/ufo-over-chinese-airport/) ?
However I also don't agree with the fact that someone really has reached to that stage where a whole aircraft can vanish from the sky within seconds!!!

The key, I think, is whether the object's light characteristics match something known to man. Hovering in a stationary spot is not typical of man-made aircraft save for helicopters (easily identified) and a handful of military planes (Harrier, Joint Strike Fighter), or balloons, also easily identified at these ranges.

Better believe people in the airport tower were staring at the objects through binoculars.

I guess it'll take one of them landing on the White House lawn for people to get it. It's also the height of human arrogance that we know what everything is and can debunk anything unidentified, we've been using electricity for all of what, 250 years? We are very wet behind the ears technologically, and I think if we do have craft capable of UFO style flight, then they were probably reverse engineered from something recovered from someplace else.

The vid shown is a rocket with 2 stages involved during the film. We don't know who launched it due to secrecy but we know what it is ... making it an identified flying object.

The one hovering with 4 lights? Film is not yet available but this is probably a man made item also.

The report says witnesses saw the object hovering. I have never seen a missile Hoover for an hour. They are speaking of different events and the words hovering for over an hour is important. The original videos we saw have been analyzed by many here correctly.

This one looks a military experiment to me but the 1 before this was( http://www.mentalmania.com/2010/07/ufo-over-chinese-airport/ ) pretty cool you could see things and did not look menmade however I doubt this one is just an experiment by military.

Now, I think it's manmade. After all, people who are thinking about building a bus that goes over cars can come up with some pretty original ideas. The question I have is, why was it there?

High altitude missile launch. About 15 seconds in you can see a shock wave when the rocket hits some mach number. The angle of the sun lights up the plume. Quite spectacular to watch. Nothing special in terms of technology.

That's a missile launch, such as we sometimes see in California from Vandenburg AFB. When it's just after sunset, and the rocket plume is illuminated by the sun as it rises into a darkening sky, it's quite spectacular.

It is the Mach speed missile test. The Chinese have broken the sound barriers for theirs missiles. The implication is very serious: can the US Carriers handle these type of missiles? And worst yet, will Iran has access these missiles?

At the beginning of the video you can see the trail of smoke typical like the ones left by rockets, and when the contrail expands is a staging . this is a missile or rocket test nothing special, surely there are pretty impressive videos of ufos but this isn't
