Obamas' Maine Vacation Day One: Arrival, Acadia National Park, Ice Cream, Boating (PHOTOS)

Obamas Arrive In Bar Harbor, Visit Acadia National Park (PHOTOS)

The Obamas arrived in Bar Harbor, Maine on Friday afternoon and immediately headed to Acadia National Park, right off the Atlantic coast of the state. According to pool reports, the First Family went for a bike ride, visited Cadillac Mountain and talked with others visiting the park. Bo was also in tow enjoying the scenery, but there are no pictures of him yet. On a style note, Michelle, Malia and Sasha changed into sneakers to better conquer the rocky terrain.

At around 3:30 p.m. the Obamas stopped by Mt. Desert Island Ice Cream. The President bought a coconut cone and stopped to chat with several German exchange students on the sidewalk. Body Man Reggie Love was on hand to offer a few useful German phrases.

Later, the First Family went into the bay on a small National Park Service boat. Valerie Jarrett was also at sea.
