If you're traveling in Kansas City, you'll want to be aware of delays on the I-470 and I-435 due to a massive sinkhole over the weekend.
Repairs will continue indefinitely after a massive sinkhole developed Saturday where westbound I-470 meets westbound I-435.
The sinkhole measures 34 feet and was caused by heavy rain.
Authorities are encouraging drivers to stay on the northbound 71 and bypass the affected area, instead taking the next exit to go west. Detours are expected to last at least until the end of July.
