You could have posted a better picture of the Coronado bridge in San Diego. Looking from north to south west is a much better view, with downtown and the bridge, especially at dusk with the ocean and sunset in the background.

The U.S. sucks with design. We're boring.

All are nice but if I were to choose one, I like Bampo Bridge with water fountain. Yeah it sits on the water so, why not!

I lived there for 8 years and drove on that bridge constantly. Not once did I see these water spouts going off. Must be a new feature for an old bridge.

Re: Millau

If a viaduct is considered a bridge then some of the very most beautiful can be found at:

Thanks for the link. Nice pictures. I like those roman bridges and have visited a few of them. Millau is stunning for that height and mismatching (lol) design in that area. I don't wish to go through it though.

Grazie, thank you. : ) Breathstopping.
Two of my favorite bridges are the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, and Tower Bridge, London.

I guess the U.S. used to build great bridges (Brooklyn, Golden Gate, SF Bay, etc.), but we've lost our nerve. The pitiful arguments over the new eastern span of the Bay Bridge are a case in point.

I agree . There needs to be a vision ;a sense that "America is Back ! " to inspire the population to greater heights . I guess that is left to the Chinese for now . Frank Lloyd-Wright must be turning is his grave !

You guys forgot the Rion Bridge in Greece It's built over 2 moving tectonic plates of the earth and actually glides over the surface .I think It's beautiful and massive . But what do I know ? I'm biased :)))) see here :
