Lourdes Leon 'Trendsetter,' Has Natural Design Ability Says Dad Carlos Leon

It seems like the whole family is in on Madonna's upcoming Material Girl clothing line. Her daughter, Lourdes, has reportedly played a big role in designing the collection and now, Lourdes' father, Carlos Leon, has talked to the New York Post about his daughter's style. He said that the 13-year-old is "100 percent the creative force of Material Girl....She's a trendsetter that draws from all different things to put together a look."

He added, "She gets to travel around the world and experience different cultures. I think she takes a little bit from each culture, myself and, of course, her mom, and makes it her own. She's very creative in that way--putting colors together and stuff I would never even think about. She has that natural ability."

So what has Lourdes (a.k.a. "Lola" for those of you out of the loop) been writing about lately on the Material Girl blog? Military jackets, Kelly Osbourne, bandeau tops and fluorescent nail polish: "Summer ahhh!! I LOVE trying bold new colors. Never be afraid to experiment with a fun new shade! What's your favorite?!"

She has the luxury of having her mother's millions as well as connections behind her. I've seen some photos of the line, and they look pretty much like what Madonna wore in the 80's. It's really nothing new.

Thank you! Just another child of a celebrity given opportunities for business ventures without having to scratch and claw like us peons. But I guess that's the breaks when you're a celeb. Talented or not! (In most cases, not) Good luck to her anyway, she's just a kid.

Lots of teens are natural trendsetters, but their mother's aren't Madonna.
