Gary Shteyngart On Sarah Palin And 'Super Sad True Love Story' (VIDEO)

You've probably seen Gary Shteyngart in the news lately. That's because his new novel, "Super Sad True Love Story," just came out yesterday from Random House. The Huffington Post recently sat down for lemonade with Shteyngart, who is Russian, who told us about the likelihood of Sarah Palin being able to see Russia from her house/ getting elected to the Oval Office.

When your high school age daughter gets pregnant in your own home and her even younger sister is boozing it up with the world watching, and your son has to join the armed forces instead of going to jail, what exactly does that say about the parents? What fact is so unclear?

I know it happens to everyone (yea right) but really — how simple do you have to be not to see the ineptitude? If your own children don't come first, please, by all means, stay out of REAL American's lives.

I can't stand her hypocrisy and I wish she never existed, but the reality is too much to ignore.

Half the posts here indicate that people have completely lost a sense of humor, irony and satire... and replaced it with either fear, or parroting the constant stream of propaganda they're subjected to.

"She hates it when I fondle her bread..." I found that funny, regardless of the person in reference... light humor, remember that? It was about as harmless an "innuendo" as one could possibly conjure.

That this fellow "creeps anyone out" is ridiculous. Are you also someone who jumps at their own shadow?

I find it interesting that now ALL authors who write anything with Palin as the subject, and write something less than a glowing treatise, are eventually labelled "creepy", branded "potential pedophiles" or some other negative aspersion...

These reactions are the result of the worst kind of fascist, neo-McCarthyist propaganda I've witnessed since, well, McCarthy himself... Goebbels sure would've been proud.

People need to stop taking sides, start allaying their fears, and start laughing again... please. A sense of humor. It's healthy food for the soul...

Beginning with satire. Yes... laughing at ourselves. Get it? :)
