Bruce Benson, CU President, Rips Princeton Review In Advance Of Annual Rankings
Boulder Daily Camera:
In anticipation of the Princeton Review's annual rankings including "top party schools," University of Colorado President Bruce Benson is cautioning that the company's research methods are sloppy.
Benson -- in a letter sent to reporters -- raised several concerns about the validity of the findings from the test prep company, claiming that the lists CU has landed on in past years, like "reefer madness," are based on anecdotes and rely too heavily on student perception. He also said the company, which is not associated with Princeton University, polls too few students.
