The Wrap is reporting that a top executive at NBC has confirmed that Piers Morgan will be going to CNN.
A reporter for the site caught up with NBC Universal Entertainment Television President Jeff Gaspin at the Television Correspondent's Association on Thursday. Asked if Morgan's new contract for "America's Got Talent," where he is the lead judge, included a provision that let him work for CNN, Gaspin replied: "Yes."
This comes on the heels of Morgan's coy statements to Jay Leno about his situation on Wednesday's edition of "The Tonight Show."
