Kristen McMenamy's Gray Hair To Be Featured In Vogue (PHOTOS)

Supermodel Kristen McMenamy has never been afraid to push boundaries with her hair--cropping it short in the mid-'90s, even shaving off her eyebrows. But now she's gone all-natural with a full-head of long, gray hair. According to the Daily Mail UK, McMenamy stopped dying her hair six years ago and will flaunt her tresses in the August issue of Vogue. The 45-year-old said, "You can get older and still be rock 'n' roll. I thought all that gray hair would make a beautiful picture." She added, "You've got to keep moving forward."

I totally love this woman now. I love, love, LOVE the gray hair. I have gray hair and always felt that it was the attitude and the style of the person that determined if gray made you look "old" or not. I think her look is hot. Rock on my fellow gray hair peoples...

Nothing wrong with the gray hair, but it is too long. She looks like she still has a bangin' body, but, assuming she has little to no make up on, that androgynous look that might work well on the big time runway, well, does have a certain mannish appearence now.

The fact that it's so long and straggly ruins it. If it were cut and styled properly, then maybe it would work.

In terms of famous people, I think the best example of beautiful silver hair is Paula Deen (With Lee Meriweather a close second).

Hurray for her! Love the grey hair. Thank dog that she hasn't dyed it that horrid middle aged red/brown color that so many woman think looks wonderful. They might as well have a hovering neon sign over their head screaming I'm old and my hair color is fake. They are as common as cantaloupes.

And now men are doing the same thing! Both Arnold Schwartzneggar (sp?) and Paul McCartney have that generic dyed red/brown hair, and it looks terrible. This woman's hair would be gorgeous if she had it cut in the same style as the earlier picture. The color is great, but the style, or lack of, is awful.

Yep, you are right. I look at Arnold the Governator and think that he could really rock the gray hair. His brown looks like he buys the color at walgreens and does it himself. Look at Anderson Cooper, his gray hair looks great.

But Tom Cruise does a great job at dying is hair. Maybe it's natural, but his age tells me that it should be gray. But it looks so natural I can't tell...

LOL! You are SO correct Swoone! My hair is naturally very dark brown and when I started to go grey a few years back I colored it. But after awhile I looked at myself and thought it looked so fake - like I was trying too hard so I stopped. Now it's salt and pepper and I get so many compliments! Also, my dark hair doesn't have that awful red tint anymore...

The pictures in Vogue are much more tasteful than the one presented here. Back in the day, my Mom @ age 24 or so, had her hair dyed gray. She had a pastel portrait of her done on NoLa. It's fantastic but as a kid I asked why was your hair gray? Emmy Lou is freakin' beautiful.
