Raver Dog Raves His Face Off (VIDEO)

First Posted: 08/02/10 02:42 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 06:15 PM ET

The Internet is pretty partial to cat videos, but every once in a while a pup comes along and steals the show. Today, that's raver dog, a dog so excited by and incredibly good at dancing to techno that he either has an awesome trainer or a bad case of rabies. While we REALLY hope it's not the latter, we enjoyed watching this dog do his thing. The best part? This dancing machine doesn't even care that the other dogs won't join in. Maybe he would be interested in drinking from the rave toilet? (Via The Daily What)

that dog has an obvious neurological condition ...not funny at all....I'm so glad that someone took him in and gave him a great, loving home...however, his condition is nothing to laugh at...sorry

Take this down and rewrite the article to reflect what this is really about with the original video. Either that or start over dubbing some music with some Parkinsons patients. Would be about as funny. /s

I can see past putting rave music too this video because due to this video, I watched the Today show's clip about the Rolling Dog Ranch and those two people are an inspiration. Truly wonderful people. The owners of this dog, 30 horses, 40 other dogs and cats with serious medical conditions should be commended for their work in helping giving life to animals that would normally just be put to sleep.

i think a lot of people responding to this have neurological disorders. it's called sunshine. get outside, away from your PCs, and enjoy.

Yes you are right, i constantly tell Cancer and Aids patients to just go outside, get a little sunshine. It works 100% of the time. Cures the dreaded "Munday's" too!

My beloved doggie Chas had a neurological condition for the last 3 years of his 16 year life. There was ABSOLUTELY nothing funny about it. And theres ABSOLUTELY nothing funny about this video. Do the right thing, HP, and take this video off.

I do agree but HP is just the messenger. Taking it off HP won't make it go away--it's already on youtube anyway. I love animals and don't think this is funny either. It did get some very lively conversation going about animals which, to me, is all good.

You can stop spamming anytime. The dog is just happy and is expressing it in an unusual way and someone put the video to music. How is this cruelty?

He's not dancing, he's having spasms and they videotaped it and put it to music---which is why some are finding it offensive.

Actually the real story behind this video is very inspiring. It's a ranch called Rolling Dog Ranch, that looks after dogs, cats, horses, that are blind, disabled, or have some sorts of problems like this dog.

Here's an interview with the owners http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OPPnozCwf4&feature=channel

I jumped the gun and thought it was photoshopped. Then I looked at the clip you posted and realized that the "dancing" dog has a neurological disorder and moves like that all the time. They put his movements to music. Now I don't know which is worse. It's a good way to get visibility, I guess. I do wish them well and hope this gets them a lot of donations.

Red45 - actually when you look at the shelters videos, this video is on there, but it doesn't have the techno music. I think someone else added that to turn it into a funny video. The shelter's version is pretty straight forward, and they're heard playing and praising the dog in a very postive manner.

This reminds me of the hissing cat video. Videos of animals suffering just aren't funny. I really hope the dog was trained to do that and isn't like that all the time.
11:44 PM on 08/02/2010
Once again a clueless HuffPost writer gets it wrong in an embarrassing way and makes fun of an animal that obviously has a problem. I know, let's all make videos of crippled people and then we can all laugh at how funny they look! This is terrible, it is not funny, the dog is not "raving his face off," and we are all not 16 years old. Take this down.
