Who knows? What's the point of listening to rumors anymore? If he plays he plays.

Here we go again. Time to attack Brett again. Then, when he starts winning again the media will jump on board and pretend they loved him all along.

There is something embarrassing going on, but it has nothing to do with Brett.

i don't see what is "embarrassing" about his retiring/unretiring... these antics that bring him a ton of publicity.

Heard Pillsbury just came out with a new breakfast waffle called "The Favre" - smothered in sentimental sports syrup, it's sure to please!

I'd still love to see him behind center for the Vikes this year, all the circus aside.

As he gets older, Brett has decided to speed things up. He is holding a press conference this afternoon to announce both his engagement to Bristol Palin and their breakup. Rumors have not been confirmed that he will also announce his engagement and breakup with Levi Johnston.

The man just wants to play well! He said "this is it" meaning 1 more time!

I hope he plays and then retire's The state of Minnesota will then have a big Retirement Party for the Best Ever!

I hope Brett will maintain his dignity this time and simply retire with no fanfare. . He is a classic and very great NFL player and deserves much credit for lasting as long as he did and as well as he did. He can always coach though I have heard that QB's don't make great coaches. Favre is an exceptional guy. Maybe he can be the exception to the QB/Coach rumor. I wish him the best.

And BTW

Does it really matter if he plays or not

Just ignore him, if he plays great, if not who cares
