Megan Fox Named Face Of Giorgio Armani Cosmetics

First Posted: 08/04/2010 11:23 am Updated: 05/25/2011 5:15 pm

Megan Fox is the new face of Giorgio Armani Cosmetics and will begin appearing in ads come fall, WWD reports. As a result, model Lara Stone was given the boot.

Fox already stars in ads for Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans. She was picked for the beauty campaign because "she embodies the spirit of the women of today: free, confident and seductive. Her beautiful features reveal femininity, sensuality and strength," according to an Armani spokeswoman. Fox called Armani "an iconic visionary."

Some lucky guy made an "honest woman" out of Megan Fox. Congratulations to him.

That's a difficult choice to have to make. Megan Fox is very fine, and so is Lara Stone. Glad I didn't have to decide.

When Megan Fox first came into my celebvision my reaction was 'wow, she's hot'. But then there was Jennifer's Body and then there was Transformers 2.

It also turns out that the hot body she had in Transformers was due to her PUTTING ON weight, seriously she looks like a drug addict in most photos. So sad.

Lara is # 1 model in the industry. Hate all you want.

Megan obviously did something with her face. Just look at those cheeks. She does not look the same. What a pity, such a beautiful talentless girl. Eh.

Lara, fix those front teeth, seriously.

Lara Stone actually has potential to be really pretty just look at her as a brunette:

the blonde does her no justice.

A fabulous choice for Armani -- so beautiful.

It's pretty obvious why...

I know supermodels are ticked off at these 'actresses' stealing their jobs. When will we ever return to models gracing the covers of magazines and actresses staing where they belong? On film?
09:39 PM on 08/04/2010
Beauties such as Megan Fox don't come along very often. She trumps most models.

She's a rip off of Angelina Jolie.

Thank God I had never watched Megan Fox acting, so I can't testify to her "talent." However, her beauty? Sure she is a very, very beautiful woman, IMO. Honey, take advantage of it as much as you can.

Yawn. Neither's really all that much of anything.
Fox is marginally better than bunny teeth there, and at least she won't be attempting to act...

Who or how did Lara Stone's teeth get past the editorial staff? Between the teeth and that bad dye job, those pictures shouldn't have made it off of the print table.

When Lara Stone was new in the fashion industry, there was a magazine editorial about her and other models with "less than perfect" features, and how designers are more attracted to models who have imperfections here and there, like Stone's gap in her teeth, or a small bump in the nose, freckles, etc.

The fashion industry has never looked for perfection in models. They are always looking for something new, unique, inspirational, etc. Stone is not a conventionally beautiful woman, but she's a great model because she has a variety of expressions that work both in ad campaigns and editorials in magazines. She has attitude and personality, and it shows in the pictures she's taken. She most likely is great to work with, because she has had several high fashion campaigns under her belt and she hasn't lost steam in the fashion world.

I remember when the new push for LTP started a few years ago. This mythological idea that 'every woman is beautiful'. Then those zombie-looking goth girls thought they were cool and every 15-year old girl above a size 12 develop this idea they can make the pep squad.

Truth is that, at the end of the day, in order for a marketing campaign to be successful, the models have to be attractive. A model's job isn't to be smart, funny, or solve problems; it's to be better looking than anyone who's going to look at her. I cannot speak for anyone else, but I'm not buying Armani if the model looks more like Michael Moore than David Beckham.

She's not, and no one does. They just pass her along long enough to get those 'Big Acceptance' groups off of the modeling industry's back.
