Emma Watson's Haircut Channels Twiggy, Mia Farrow In 'Rosemary's Baby' (PHOTOS, POLL)

Emma Watson posted a photo to her Facebook profile of her new haircut, and it's quite a drastic change! The actress and Burberry model totally chopped off her tresses in favor of a Twiggy, Jean Seberg, Mia Farrow-esque look. She wrote, "Dear all. Cut my hair off a few days ago... Feels incredible. I love it. I've wanted to do this for years and years; it's the most liberating thing ever. Hope you like. Big love from Emma x."

Watson told EW.com, "The stylist just grabbed the back of my hair and took a whole ponytail of hair out. It felt amazing. I love it," adding, "I missed all that experimentation that most teenagers go through. I've wanted to do this since I was about 16, so as soon as I had the chance I was like, 'Right. This is it.'" Her hair was snipped by Rodney Cutler of Cutler Salon.

Very cute; she has the face for it. Fortunately, Watson looks like a healthy young woman, not a twig.
Twiggy said she was naturally "twiggy" but she sure started the craze back then of teens my age wanting to look like her. With me, it was her face and haircut that I admired, not the impossible figure.
Some atrribute the beginnings of eating disorders to that first supermodel of the mid '60's.
Now that she is older, still attractive and a bit more curvy, she disdains the goal of size "0" of many young women today as unhealthy and unattractive.

To compare Emma's hairstyle to Twiggy's is pretty silly - The 60s were forty years ago - can we please stop talking about it? As my teenager just pointed out to me, the 60s are as irrelevant to now as the Roaring Twenties were to the 60s. This she says while listening to John Lennon on her ipod.

While I prefer women with long hair there are many women who've been able to rock short hair over the years and make it tres sexy. Annie Lennox, Sinead, Winona Ryder...you need the right shaped head, otherwise it looks, well, wrong....
