I have three words for the haters: New York magazine.
Last week, Newsweek was sold (for $1 plus great big liabilities) to Sidney Harman, the audio pioneer. Back in 2003, Bruce Wasserstein, the head of Lazard who had been doing deals that added up to hundreds of billions of dollars, swooped in out of nowhere and bought New York magazine for $55 million.
