Rep. Grayson Unleashes On Gibbs: "Bozo The Spokesman" (VIDEO)

The Huffington Post

Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) was typically direct and unsparing in his criticism of White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs on MSNBC this afternoon.

In response to Gibbs's recent comments about "the professional left" and its dissatisfaction with the Obama administration, Grayson called Gibbs "Bozo the Spokesman" and declared he should be fired.

"I don't think he should resign, I think he should be fired. He's done a miserable job," Grayson said. "He's so far in over his head he'd have to reach up to touch his shoes."

Grayson went on:

I'd like to see Gibbs show some frustration over 15 million unemployed Americans. I'd like to see him show some frustration over 40 million people who can't see a doctor when they need to. I'd like to see him show some frustration over the Republicans, who have blocked the president's plans and his programs ... They're the opponents for him, not the liberals.

We need another Huey Long instead of whimpy Pres. GWObama. We need Medicare for all. End the War Racket. Secure public Social Security for the robber barrons and tell the US shareholders [citizen] that jobs are a thing of the past & start the new shareholder GNP share the wealth program. Every man a King Pres. GWObama, every man a king!!

I like Grayson but this is kind of like the pot calling the kettle black. Seriously though this is the biggest damn destraction I have yet to be a part of. Start focusing on problems and stop pointing fingers.

Grayson has an anatomical feature so lacking and yet desirable in the Democratic Party--a SPINE!

(Thought I was going to say something else didn't ya?)

The more I hear him speak, the more I love him. You rock, Grayson!

Grayson needs to find a new hair dye. The black ink he uses runs down the back of his neck. You should see him without the dye.

Who cares what he looks like? Keep talking Alan!

If anyone knows a Bozo it would be grayson! This idiot thinks that calling people names results in good legislation and serves the people well. Call people names and then ask them to work with you is pretty stupid. Of course, he probably thinks he can do it all by himself. However, you would think that Obama would have learned this too over the last two years. He, as well, keeps calling the other side names and then too wonders why they will not work with him. So much for the change in washington. Obama or Grayson never even tried. Two peas in a pod. No difference between them.

Yet another case of "Quick! Look over HERE!"

Seriously, with all the issues facing us who gives a rip what Robert Gibbs says?

He has just as many YouTube moments as Biden does.

How about we all start ignoring these little foibles and start fixing the country.

I think Grayson has a valid point. Gibbs should be talking up the successes of this whitehouse instead of complaining about the people who put Obama in office.

Gibbs is the Steele of the Democratic Party.

No let me rephrase it. Gibbs is a real Steele of the Democratic party.

Gates announced the other day, sort of quietly, that it was getting close. As did others. Lest you think this administration is free of 'neocons' you may want to do some checking. Like Obama's COS.

Amazing how easily miffed and distracted people are. Just a few years ago, many of us were angrily demanding the resignation of Defense Secretary Rumsfeld for unbelievable incompetence and senseless death in Iraq, with our own troops slaughtered from insufficient armor, the total breakdown of law and order in Baghdad, etc., etc. Now come calls for the head of Robert Gibbs because he said a mean thing about some critics on the left. Big deal. The Obama administration absolutely needs pressure from the left, but no one should be surprised or even offended when Gibbs, the President, or anyone else gets frustrated by it. The GOP is the problem, not Gibbs.
05:10 PM on 08/12/2010
The President is the problem. Gibbs works for the President and reflects his views.

And nothing was done for Rumsfeld, because the President wants to look forward, not backward. There will be no accountability.
05:30 PM on 08/12/2010
The point is that too many of us are letting ourselves get distracted by irrelevant issues. Who cares if Gibbs is frustrated? Take that as a sign that pressure from the left is being felt. Obama is not the problem. His potential GOP replacement is the problem, and a big one.

Either your last sentence is incorrect, or it makes perfect sense to you. You implied that Rumsfeld works for the current President. I hope you know that this is not true.

15- If he runs for President....I wish I could break my oath and vote for him. But I will certainly campaign for him like I did for Obama. Obama is a disappointing President. It is like when you are offered a job for $20/hour to be paid weekly. At the end of the first week, you get no pay as you hyped up for the huge bonus. So no big deal you keep working! Then 2nd week you are now p!$$ed! Not only were you disappointed for the late pay, but they paid you $7.99/hour and no bunus. At the end of the month you get excuses and $7.50/hour.

I had this dream.....I dreamed that all this dust up is a well planned, deliberate...right wing plot. Not only did I dream that this Gibbs reaction was right wing controlled...I dreamed that the blogoshere progressive party was actually 67% right wingers under cover. That these wingers were posing as progressives since the elections...since Obama won. They were sent out there to liberal blogs .....they became members, they mingled, they made friends.they influenced ..they manipulated.....they considered the progressives gullible and weak....easy.
The trojan progs' mission ...from the beginning ...was/is to weaken the democrats ....to the point of no return and then...right before the 2012 elections they will convince the progs to vote some third party that they will provide .....(coming soon )

Whew...thank goodness it was just a dream ...right? Progs aren't really that easy...right?

Grayson should run against Obama in the next Presidential primaries. I am sick and tired of Obama's absolute obedience to his corporate masters. We need a President who has no corporate masters.

No, we do not need a monarchy. That is even worse than a corporate controlled President. We need a President that follows the Constitution.
