Traveling for art can be a delicate matter. You can journey to Bilbao for the Frank Gehry designed Guggenheim Museum and consider it a worthy homage or you can search for arts and culture in whichever new place you find yourself. Until now.

We've discovered, via design blogger Sarah Klassen, the Byblos Art Hotel in Verona, Italy - a place to eat, swim, laze, sleep, and subsequently dream, beneath manifold genres of art. From Frank Lloyd Wright to Damien Hirst and from Marina Abramovic to Vanessa Beecroft, you'd be hard pressed to find an Italian villa more stocked with fine art - except maybe Clooney's.

Both museum of contemporary art and five star hotel, the stunning and unique Byblos Art Hotel dates all the way back to the 17th century. I'm loving the great mix of furnishings and architecture. The result is just fantastic and powerful, isn't it? And, apparently this accommodation houses the works of the talented Frank Lloyd Wright, Anish Kapoor and Beatriz Millar, just to name a few... and in such an intriguing, vibrant and wonderfully renovated environment, you don't even have to leave your hotel to experience some amazing design and art culture. (did I mention that you can book a wine tasting session?)
