Nancy Pelosi Visits 'Top Chef' Kitchen As Guest Judge: 'A Little Salty'

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi swung by the kitchen set of Bravo's "Top Chef" on Wednesday night's episode to decide the winner of a seafood-based team cookoff competition.

Pelosi, a self-described "foodie," sampled both a "sauteed shrimp over angel hair pasta with a mustard sauce, marinated tomatoes and crispy basil," as well as a "red snapper with an aromatic broth, wilted greens and maitake mushrooms" and judged in favor of the shrimp, cooked by the Blue team manned by Kenny Gilbert, Amanda Baumgarten, Kevin Sbraga and Kelly Liken.

"This reminds me of home, with all the natural products and the rest," Pelosi said, likening the first dish to something she might find in her San Francisco congressional district.

The red snapper dish, however, was "a little salty," according to the Speaker of the House. The winning team received a $10,000 prize. 'Top Chef' airs Wednesday nights at 10/9 p.m. central time on Bravo.
