Charles Barkley: LeBron James A 'Punk'

First Posted: 08/13/10 09:26 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 06:20 PM ET

Lebron James Charles Barkley

Charles Barkley has once again voiced his displeasure with LeBron James -- and this time the Hall of Famer is using even harsher language than before.

In July, Barkley said he was "disturbed" by LeBron's actions.

Yesterday, Barkley upped the ante while reacting to James's recent tweet, in which he claims to be keeping track of "everyone taking shots at me this summer." While being interviewed on ESPN Radio 103.3 FM in Dallas/Fort Worth on Wednesday night, Barkley snapped.

"I want him to make sure that he puts my name on that (list)," Barkley said, in reference to James' tweet. "I thought that his little one-hour special was a punk move," the analyst added, according to FanHouse.

Barkley continued, ranting about James's superstar teammates, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Barkley discussed the trio's welcome ceremony in the Miami, calling their dancing during the reception "a punk move," too.

Barkley is not backing down.

"He knows where I'll be," Barkley said, seeming to be referencing to LeBron James. "I don't run. I'm on TV every week, I'm easy to find."

"I can be bought. If they paid me enough, I'd work for the Klan." -Charles Barkley. Seriously.

Check out the new Cavs uniforms -- it has a special message on the inside of the color. Fans can't see it, but the players will when they put on the jerseys.

"All for one and one for all"

hmmm, wonder if we ever had a player on the Cavs who believed in just the first half of the sentence.

I am not a huge fan of the Chuckster, but that was awesome, especially how he ended it. I'm on TV every week... What else is there to say.

Lebron can do what he wants. Besides, there's not comparison between the two. Lebron is much more skilled, bigger, stronger and faster than charles ever was. And if Lebron wanted, he could kick charles old butt, so he needs to quit trying to look macho.

I'm not a BARKley at all, but I have to say, LeBron trying to dance at that welcome party was the most awkward and corniest thing I've ever seen.

I'm not a genius, but didn't Barkley demand a trade from Philly when Philly sucked to Phoenix with the stacked Phoenix team of Kevin Johnson/Dan Majerle? And then a couple years later after Phoenix was done, take himself to the stacked Rockets?

Pot meet kettle.

Lebron is just like you, Charles.

Cleveland didn't suck. It had the best record in the NBA the last two years and a legit shot at winning it all. That is, until LeQuit purposefully tanked.

Didn't Barkley runaround the NBA like a cheap Prostitute, chasing the illusive Rings..always the bridesmaid, never the bride Barkley. Shut your mouth, James will get his ring even if its just one!!!

I was thinking that too, but someone on here set me straight. Barkley was traded to Houston.

Two punk moves. Sir Charles has that right and truth be told he went easy on LB by not bringing up his cry baby exit from the 2009 playoffs.

Two shallow, egotistical men - both richer than god - sniping at each other with self-righteous indignation.

P.S. LeBron is sounding more & more like his idol MJ. Perhaps he should watch Jordan's unbelievably graceless speech at his NBA HOF induction and consider whether this is the person he wants to become. I actually felt sorry for MJ after watching him follow David Robinson; the contrast in maturity, dignity, and class was incredible.

Barkley is a joke. He's still bitter about never winning a championship of his own, and is just mad that Lebron is doing what he can to put himself in the best position to win one for himself.

Barkley can go to hell. He's always been like this. You even notice it from the grudge he still holds about Jordan being a much greater basketball player than he'll ever be remembered for being, which is why he's always so eager to claim Kobe is better than Jordan. It helps to make him feel better about his shortcomings as a player. Kobe will never be a player of Jordan's caliber, never.

it is clear to see that you do not know anything about basketball, cause if you did, you would know that barkley is not bitter, he alway's just speak his mind. and he say's what alot of players and people want to say but are scared to say. and don't hate kobe! hate the game!!!!!

James is going to talk NBA title all next year and he expects everybody to be on his bandwagon. Its going to get real tiresome hearing about the dream team. CB is off the bandwagon and we now know that he can be counted on to pay attention to all the other players and teams in the NBA.

The one hour leavin' for Miami show was ludicrous. Barkley was right, that was a punk move.

None of you guys get it - and certainly legon/wade/bosh don't either. the history of the NBA is DOMINANCE by the LAKERS and the celtics. Some other teams (knicks, 76ers, Portland) have gotten a chance and a crack at the title once in a blue moon. They all think they're getting back again but most don't. There is a reason many great players don't become great champions - there is a different hurdle to clear to be a champion. So lots fall short....Dr J got one, Barkley, Stockton, Dominique etc got zero. I see nothing from lebron or bosh that lead me to believe they are destined to be champions. The fact that Magic led the Lakers to 9 finals in 12 years is astounding! The fact that the Lakers have won 12 titles in 25 years is ridiculous! Scoreboard dreamers.....scoreboard! 3PEAT coming soon!

Remember Tim Duncan won 4 championships with the Spurs with none of them back-to-back.

That's why I have TIm Duncan rated higher on the All Time Power Forward List....higher than malone who scored more points. Timmy is a stone cold winner and multiple time Champion....so he's higher on the list than malone (the failman, not the mailman) who failed to perform at the highest level - championships!!! malone never delivered the big prize while Duncan did!
