Karl Rove's Crossroads GPS Runs Anti-Bennet Ads In Colorado (VIDEO)

A new ad paid for by former Bush advisor Karl Rove's organization, Crossroads GPS, is hitting the airwaves in Colorado. The ad, which will run for a week in the Denver and Colorado Springs markets, hits Michael Bennet for supporting the President's stimulus package, and claims--without (as the Colorado Independent points out) citation--that Bennet "has voted to spend an average of $2.5 billion every day."

Rove's organization will spend $425,000 on the ad.

Bennet, the incumbent, defeated Andrew Romanoff in last week's Democratic primary. He now faces Ken Buck in what is expected to be a hotly contested general election.
