Today a spokesman for the former prime minister, who is understood to have already received a £4.6m advance for his memoirs, said he would hand over all the money he makes -- including the advance -- "as a way of marking the enormous sacrifice [the armed forces] make" .

He strikes me as a very decent man. He may have fallen for Bush and Cheney like everyone else, but he's as sorry as everyone else now too! Good for you, Tony!

...a very decent man? I'm not sure many British people would agree with on that one. He dragged us into a deeply unpopular war, against a lot of protest from the public. Under him the Labour party tried to introduce I.D cards, there was a cash for privileges scandal, and a large expansion of faith schools.
