BBC Weatherman Caught Giving The Finger On Live TV (VIDEO)

First Posted: 08/17/10 03:08 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 06:25 PM ET

This is definitely one of the funniest news bloopers we've seen in a while. It's not just because weatherman Tomasz Schafernaker got caught flipping off news anchor Simon McCoy on live television. On top of that, it's almost as if McCoy knew what was coming after he introduced the weather report by saying, "Of course it will be 100% accurate and provide all the details you could possibly want."

The second amazing part happens just after Schafernaker is caught, when he freaks out and does this pretend neck-scratch maneuver that wasn't fooling anyone.

So what?

This prudish fascination with "bad" words or symbols is really distracting from all the stories that should be presented to make keep our leaders in check and make sure that they have our best interests at heart.

Meaningless in the light of it being BBC which is rife with nudity and profanity as compared to US TV.

lame. that's his index finger, not even the middle finger. the title of this article is misleading.

Ah, poor Tomasz. And he usually seems like such a sweet guy. Whereas, I've always found McCoy to be a bit of a smartar.se.

Loved this...my husband and I were lucky enough to catch this live on the BBC yesterday morning and wondered how long it would take for him to become an internet hero! His facial expression when he realises what has happened is outstanding - makes me smile!

We would also like to send our fondest wish to our weather man (garbled name) who will be leaving us and is here for his last day.
