Jon Stewart Fights Terror Babies With Hero Babies (VIDEO)

Huffington Post   First Posted: 08/18/10 10:25 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 06:25 PM ET

Last night on "The Daily Show," Jon Stewart took on the purported "terror babies" threat and reviewed Anderson Cooper's interview with Rep. Louie Gohmert. The interview was a heated argument between the CNN correspondent and the Texas congressman on whether or not pregnant women from other countries are birthing U.S. citizens and then training them as terrorists, only to return in 10-20 years to attack us.

In a new segment called "Jon Stewart And Anderson Cooper Look At Gaping Holes,' Stewart analyzed the plot holes in Rep. Gohmert's story. First of all, wouldn't it be easier to recruit adult Americans than to raise them from scratch? Secondly, Stewart pointed out that raising a terror baby would be difficult because, "you know, when they become terror teens they tune you out."

As always, Stewart introduced a logical solution: hero babies! We can raise our own babies to fight the terror babies to be prepared for the wait-listed attack. "These babies don't run... Yet," Stewart said.

Stewart then took a look at some of Rep. Gohmert's other causes by showing clips of him speaking in Congress. Let's just say the topics ranged from animal protection to sleeping with corpses to Hitler. In that order.

Jon Stewart puts the fools on parade using their own words. He IS the most trusted name in news, although The Daily Show is comedy.

Folks these are the lunatics running our government. How did we survive all this time? We need to have lunatics like Gophmert committed. Jon, keep exposing and shaming these evil vile people.

There are places in Texas, and I am sorry to say other parts of the USA as well, where evolution is way behind in its work.

You want a fingernail picture of Texas?

THIS guy sat on the judicial bench in Texas. THIS guy was appointed by CSA President Ricky Perry to sit as Chief Justice on the 12th Court of Appeals for Texas. THIS guy "earned" his JD from Baylor in Texas.

The gaping hole that Gohmert alludes to is between his ears.

Texas, you should be ashamed.

Don't blame me for that LOON!

Texas 1st Congressional District (from Wiki):

As of the 2000 census, the First District represents 651,619 people. It consists largely of three small East Texas metropolitan areas—Lufkin-Nacogdoches, in the south, Longview-Marshall, and Tyler. The First District once encompassed large parts of North Texas and Central Texas, but as the population of Texas grew, the district got smaller until it only encompassed about half of Northeast Texas. For most of its history, the district was based in Texarkana. However, in a controversial 2003 redistricting orchestrated by then-House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, Texarkana was drawn out of the district and moved to the neighboring Fourth congressional district. Lufkin, Tyler and Longview were added in its place. The district was predominantly rural for much of its history, and thus was far friendlier to electing Democrats to Congress even as most of Texas swung toward the Republicans. The district's four-term Democratic incumbent, Max Sandlin, was a particularly severe critic of the DeLay-led redistricting effort, claiming that lumping rural areas with urban ones stifled the voice of rural voters. Indeed, the 2003 redistricting made the district more urban and Republican, especially with the addition of the Republican strongholds of Tyler and Longview. Sandlin was heavily defeated in November 2004 by Republican Louie Gohmert, a longtime judge in the Tyler area. Gohmert is the first Republican to represent the district since Reconstruction.
