Mcchrystal Yale

nydailynews.com:

The mother of Pat Tillman and filmmaker Michael Moore have something to say about Yale University's hiring of Gen. Stanley McChrystal.

Mary Tillman, whose discovery that McChrystal orchestrated the cover-up of her son's death by friendly fire in Afghanistan, is depicted in Amir Bar-Lev's documentary "The Tillman Story" tells us the Ivy League institution's hiring of the general that President Obama fired is "insulting."

BigSlick is right. So should a lot of others involved in this.

The first question asked in his class should be: "Will you be teaching us how to engineer a cover-up?"
Unfortunately, US military officers who engineer cover-ups tend to be promoted. Just witness Colin Powell, who engineered the original My Lai Massacre cover-up.

As someone whos gonna do an MBA I think this is a great idea. Who else is better to teach students like me who are going to be cutting swathes through the masses of opposition in the cutthroat world of banking than a real life general! Well, one day when Im a banker after I finish my MBA, I would love to have been given some experience and stories from a guy like McChrystal! WAY TO GO YALE! This is what is required to reverse the trend that business schools have been suffering since 2007 when the NY Times declared that they were losing their worth as you can read: http://bit.ly/cLuEnj Well, thats tripe!

Can we please stop indoctrinating the next generation that the ends always justify the means? We've seen a progressive decline from the "me" generation on down the line by dehumanized narcissists who seem to forget that they're sharing this sphere with over 6 billion other people.

The cover up of Tillamn's death should have led to Court Marshall rather than a puffy "retirement" years later.

It has nothing to do with education. Don't you get it, you dopes?

The only thing he can teach is how to be a corrupt politician. Shame on Yale.

Something is wrong in the state of Denmark...

I mean America, and it's very sad.

It is sad to hear that this general, that believes the end justifies the means, is going to teach others. He will lie to cover up that which might embarrassing, or worse illegal, shows tremendous disrespect to his commander and chief, and have no shame about any of it. Yale has no shame as well. It used to be actions such as the general has done would mean they quietly retire and go away keeping a low profile. We have truly lost a lot when you can ignore major character flaws such as his just to bring in a well known name to perhaps increase a donors commitment. The general brought disgrace to the military and does not deserve to teach others.

The Tillman story can be seen as symbolic of the entire history of the U.S. involvement in Afghanistan -- SNAFU.

Yale motto is "Light and Truth." Makes you wonder why McChrystal would fit in. Here's the way I see his situation.

Was'nt Bush at Yale, I think they like people like Mcchrystal there, because he never questioned why we went to war, because of a lie. If you have him on your side, you do not need any enemies, because he is the enemy.
