Crystal Renn Stars In Chanel Reopening Campaign (PHOTO)

Crystal Renn stars in Chanel's new ads for the reopening of the label's SoHo New York store and Fashionista got the inside scoop from the model on what it was like to work with Karl Lagerfeld and Baptiste Giabiconi. Renn remarked, "Karl is a genius. He's a Virgo so we're compatible and we got on really well," adding that Giabiconi is "the most gorgeous man I've ever seen hands down. I remember being on set and trying not to stare but staring at him methodically nonetheless to try to figure out how perfection in a male looks. It's insane when you look at him."

So what was her reaction when she saw the final product?

"I'm absolutely freaking out," she told Fashionista. "Working with Chanel has been my dream forever. As long as I've been working as a model I've been thinking about Chanel and working towards Chanel and this campaign is the proudest moment of my life."

This marks the second time (that we know of) that Crystal has worked with Chanel. She walked in the Cruise show in May.

Yea after she has lost and is losing weight...now they want to hire her.... It's utter BS that by hiring her there is a change. How about bringing on ACTUAL healthy sized models and how about instead of calling them plus size calling them average size. Because a woman who is a size 12 should not be labeled as a "Plus sized" anything.

She's not only beautiful, physically, she's intelligent and shows a great acceptance/respect for herself. Chanel's a classic and I thnk it's wonderful they picked her. Great choice.
