Cristobal Huet, Chicago Blackhawks Goalie, Loaned To Swiss-A Team

REPORT: From Stanley Cup To Switzerland?

Chicago Blackhawks goalie Cristobal Huet will be joining Switzerland National League A team Fribourg-Gottéron, according to a report from a Swiss news site called 20 Minutes.

The report says Huet will be loaned to the Swiss team for one year at a rate worth between $288,000 and $577,000.

Huet's agent, Steve Bartlett, told the Chicago Breaking Sports News that the deal hasn't been complete yet.

"We've had discussions with (Gotteron), but nothing is finalized and there are a lot of hoops to go through and approvals that have to happen here," Bartlett said. "So at this point it's preliminary to say anything is done."

Huet, who played in Switzerland for four years, was the first player born in France to win the Stanley Cup.
