The U.S. Chemical Safety Board on Tuesday released a portion of an animated simulation of the last moments of the lives of workers trapped inside Xcel's Cabin Creek hydroelectric plant in 2007.
The release of the clip comes the day before the Board is expected to make pubic a full report on the accident, which killed 5 contract workers near Georgetown, Colorado in 2008.
A draft report released earlier this month criticized Xcel for numerous safety violations leading up to the fire.
Xcel has criticized the U.S. Chemical Safety Board, accusing the agency of timing the release of the report to affect the proceedings of an ongoing criminal trial against the company.
