Dree Hemingway's Fearless Fashions (PHOTOS, POLL)

First Posted: 08/27/10 04:52 PM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 06:20 PM ET

As the great-granddaughter of one of the greatest authors of all time, you'd think Dree Hemingway would have trouble making a name for herself. But Dree has managed to seamlessly make her way up the model ranks and is considered a style inspiration to many twenty-somethings. Known for her gutsy red carpet fashion choices, Dree doesn't shy away from anything body-con or revealing. Check out some of her best ensembles and tell us which ones you love and which ones you can't stand.

She is so daring.
What guts she has
to wear any of these
ensembles.
It must be because she's a
Hemingway.

Wow, "fearless" is right! These clothes aren't afraid of anybody! I'd hate to meet any of these clothes in a dark alley! I'd be all like "Feet, do yo' duty!" I assume one would need a permit to wear any of these gowns. I'll bet when these outfits walk into a saloon, all the other clothing ducks under tables.

Beautiful, hope she doesn't succumb to the family curse.

She's pretty, but she has not made it on her own, neither have the Jagger girls. Do you think if their last name were Smith anyone would care? Look at girls like Edita V & Raquel Zimmerman, she can't even compare to real supermodels. She just reminds me of a socialite.

Dree looks young and fun in all the photos. Only thing I hate are the gladiator type shoes in #2 photo, June, 2010. I hate that look on anyone but the Capitol One Viking guys...and Spartacus.

Great ..she has a great individualized sense of fashion and style. She doesn't seemed prepped and over styled. The Valentino looks are my favorites.

Dree on On Earnest's books, "I probably shouldn’t say this, but I still haven’t read them all. They’re all kind of depressing. "
Still a pretty girl.

Is she the daughter of Mariel Hemingway? ...Beautiful face and the creamy white oragami inspired pleated number is pretty tasty.

Yes & yes.

Unbelievable, all the talented young women in the world and we have to look at her because her great grandfather was a great writer? We wouldn't make it through the elimination cattle call of America's Next Top Model. Pretty girl - not a model - no personality or style. The media can tell us why someone is beautiful and we really don't trust our eyes anymore or are we afraid we don't have style and can't recognize it with our own eyes?

When she isn't dull & boring holding up clothes so they don't fall to the ground she manages a few periodic limp smiles. Someone must have walked in a said "I've got your big paycheck for being Heminway's great granddaughters and we've convinced a whole look of poor people with no taste that you are fashionable." The reason she's not eating is because a few fat ounces and no one would buy the "nothing" that she's selling.

I know I'm sounding bitter but I'm really not. She is pretty and could be a model if she thought she had to work at it, develop tehnique and style, instead of depend on her great grandfather's name.

Hey, I've found you here so I can respond to your recommendation of the film "Invictus," with Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman. I haven't seen it but I will THIS week. I'll get back to you about the film but I know with this great cast and the significance of the movie to world events and the legacy of Nelson Mandela who had a dream for world peace and unity like Martin Luther King Jr. I'll probably be in tears too.

I think it's awesome shes got a great career and she's done it on her own. You know, not using the Hemingway name to get to the top.

You're so right. It would have been really tacky if she'd called herself "Ernest" Hemingway to get to the top. But she didn't fall into that trap. She's done it on her own, with her own name, Dree. What courage!

High Heels are so bad for your feet, legs, and back. When are women going to quit wearing them? Silly.

They can permanently damage the achilles tendon, cause sciatica (which is very painful), arthritis (especially in the knee), hammertoe, bunions, nerve pain, etc.

Everything else about her look is fab.

She's a naturally gorgeous girl with a fab sense of style. Not all made up with all the fake nails and eyelashes. I think she's refreshing.
