New Orleans Superdome Reopens After Five Years Of Restoration

The once devastated New Orleans Superdome has undergone one of the countries largest stadium restoration projects ever attempted. What was once a symbol of the FEMA's failure to provide for displaced citizens now stands as an icon of the city's triumph and strength.

The dome reopened for the New Orleans Saints football season in Sept. 2006 and reconstruction efforts have continued nonstop since then.

CNN's Tom Foreman takes a tour inside the newly renovated stadium.
