Wake up America and read between the lines. We can NOT let the rich to control every aspect of our lives JUST because they have more money then we do and we can NOT allow the GOP to control this country again, because next time we may not survive.

The Democrats had received so much money from financial interests, including scortched earth procedures of hedge funds in destroying economic sustenance, that they had lost their identity as a Party of the people. Now the hedge fund bunch is returing to the Republican fold.
In the long run this trend is good, maybe. The Democrats will have no excuses for supporting these cancerous enterprises. They can honorable claim to be of the little guy versus financial folly and monopoly.
Obama was the one who has wounded deeply the Democrat Party. He must be cashiered in disgrace from his Office in the primaries, unless he suddenly is reborn as was Saul along the Appian Way. Democrats should be preparing an honorable, knowledgeable candidate who is also one with our Constitution to run in 2012. By that time the people will be sick of the Republican demigoguery and Obama Administration unfair policies favoring the few.
The poverty of wise, courageous leadership at every level---both public and private---is most disheartening. Our leaders appear to have no interest in protecting and preserving our Union. They appear to have no sense of civic duty to the common good. They seem to have wealth and power for themselves as the common denominator for their decisions.

And the partisan hackery of this story is almost too thick to bear. Democrats and Republicans are like the "good""wrestlers and the "bad"wrestlers of a WWE match. EVERYTHING is being choreographed behind the scenes by Wall Street, leaving the drooling yokel in the audience to cheer for one side or the other and fight each other when the mood takes them. Meanwhile, the Wall Street elite who made the little show are looting the safe.

These Cohen guys play both parties for the ultimate goal: control of the US. It got cemented under Clinton, and what did they do? Took over the financial services industry, Congress and White House and proceeded to eliminate all proper Depression era legislation for self profit, not for the interest of the US.

Fast forward, literally overnight the smart crowd made the quantum leap from the outer boroughs of NY to Park & Fifth Avenues, and turned eastern Long Island in to Catskills by the sea, thanks to ill gotten multi billion fortunes, while US tax payers are losing their homes are unable to sustain themselves.

Talking about political parties is immaterial, what voters need to concentrate on is who’s behind them. Who’s financing it?

The faux outrage in this thread is entertaining though.

Speaking of faux, I see that you chose to go with the reactionary Newsmax. Newsmax is nothing but propaganda and lies just like Faux Noose. I wouldn't believe a thing that site says.

Dismissiveness is the ultimate surrender! You are pathetic!

He just wants to create more jobs, eliminate the deficiet and reduce the debt by killing the poor and sick and taking more from the people who actually work while making himself and his peers weathier than most governments in the world.

Just like any good Republican.

Once again the repub/teabaggers proves to everyone whose
side they are on.

You have to be super rich, a bigot and dumb as a doorknob to
vote republican. Oh and lets not forget non whites and non Christians
are not tolerated in their ranks.

Look, I'm a Progressive but we need to clean house on our own party, the Democrats. Read the article. Chris Dodd took money from the Wall STreet crowd when running for president too. Obama did too. We can blame the GOP all we want but this is really a systemic problem we have not just a partisan one.
11:25 PM on 08/27/2010
Most of the $400,000 contributions to Dems went to Chris Dodd? That explains why we were sold down the river on the so called financial reform.

Oh I'm shocked! But this is the party that is now spinning that it's for the regular little people, a strategy that they probably came up with in the drawing room of one of these billionaire's mansions. But then how many millionaires did Bill Clinton pardon? Both parties have sold this country down the toilet, and just keep doing it
