A Brazilian ID found on the body of a 17-year-old ambassador's daughter should never have gotten her into a nightclub, officials said Sunday.

The only IDs that are acceptable as proof of age at New York City hot spots are U.S. state-issued or Canadian government IDs or a passport, said Michael Jones of the State Liquor Authority.
