Bettina Wulff Watches Ballet In Gray (PHOTOS)

First Posted: 9/1/10   Updated: 5/25/11

Germany's First Lady Bettina Wulff and her husband Christian visited Saxony on Wednesday, stopping by the Palucca Dance School and the daycare center "Freinet-Kinderhaus Friedewald." Bettina wore a gray suit with a longer jacket for the occasion and loafers, which seem to be fall's fastest-growing footwear trend. She accessorized with a gold brooch. Take a look:

That outfit makes her look like a marm at a military school. Not so good.

Germany is maintaining a high level of art curriculum in school, and the government has a culture ministry, so art of any form is held in high regards. That said, the first lady looks like she has not found her groove yet, and maybe she is not a HP style reader, otherwise she would see some really hot first ladies from around the world.

I like her look, and I am glad she doesn't seem to want to enter the first ladies' contest but is doing her own thing.

naschkatze, I don't think that the first ladies from other countries are competing, but many do have a very unique and fashionable style. They are representing their country and fashion is an industry in most of the industrialized countries. I can tell you that Berlin is a thriving fashion city, and there are more traditional designer that deserve mention and maybe a little bit exposure by her, for example, Escada, Aigner, Joop, Jill Sander to name just a few. I think most first ladies do wear their own national designers.

Lovely lady. I like her brooch, but can't place the style. Celtic?

She looks great, but I am scared at how these important and surely, intelligent women, make headlines only for their clothes...

Well, they're in the news because of who their husbands are.
