Richfield Bowl Gives Free Bowling To Kids In Struggling Michigan Community
In Flint, Mich., a community with high unemployment and poverty rates, a local bowling alley decided to give struggling families a break this summer by offering free bowling to children.
Richfield Bowl has given free bowling to 3,000 children over the last four months, a generous donation worth over $1 million in lost income. Some of the kids taking part in the program are fleeing their impoverished neighborhoods; others are autistic -- all are in need of a fun activity.
NBC Nightly News reports.
