Paris Hilton BANNED From Wynn Resorts

Paris Hilton Wynn Ban

LAS VEGAS — Paris Hilton was banned Wednesday from two Wynn resorts on the Las Vegas Strip, and her boyfriend was dismissed as a nightclub partner following their arrests in a vehicle that police said reeked of marijuana.

Wynn Resorts Ltd. spokeswoman Jennifer Dunne told The Associated Press that Hilton is barred from Wynn Las Vegas and Encore.

Meanwhile, boyfriend Cy Waits was "separated" from his job after less than a week as top managing partner of the Tryst Nightclub at Wynn and XS The Nightclub at Encore, Dunne said in a statement.

Waits and a lawyer and publicist for the 29-year-old Hilton did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The moves come after Hilton was arrested Friday for investigation of felony cocaine possession. Waits was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Charges have not yet been filed.

Hilton was arrested inside the Wynn resort, where a police lieutenant reported a small plastic bag containing 0.8 grams of cocaine fell into his hand when Hilton reached for a tube of lip balm in a purse.

The celebrity socialite is scheduled for arraignment Oct. 27 and would face probation if convicted.

A police report made public Wednesday said the suspected butt of a marijuana cigarette was found in the Cadillac Escalade in which the couple was stopped in front of the Wynn Las Vegas hotel-casino.

Waits, 34, was driving. He had bloodshot eyes, smelled of alcohol and wobbled as he failed balance and walk-and-turn field sobriety tests, the arresting officer said.

Attorney Richard Schonfeld, who represents Waits, said his client passed an eye test checking the dilation of his pupils. Schonfeld said he was troubled that Waits wasn't stopped because of a traffic infraction "or any other indication that he was impaired while driving."

Waits allowed blood to be drawn when he was booked into the Clark County jail in downtown Las Vegas, Officer Bill Cassell said. Results won't be released until the case reaches court.

Waits spent a night in jail on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence before being freed on $2,000 bail with a Nov. 29 court date.

Dunne said Waits' twin brother, Jesse Waits, is continuing as general partner of the Wynn resorts' Tryst and XS clubs.

The brothers were hired by Steve Wynn five years ago and became the casino owner's top club managers last week when Wynn bought out Victor Drai.

Not that I don't think those two deserve a little misfortune in their lives, but isn't it a little extreme to fire the guy and ban them from the hotels for being arrested?
What a great way to repay the guy for spending five years of his life working for you, fire him when he is accused of a crime.

I thought possession was a crime. Are there two sets of laws on the books? One for important people and one for the rest.

She reportedly gets 6 figures to appear at clubs. Can sometime please tell me for what? It's rhetorical, but this girl has nothing to show for herself except her last name and cash. So Vegas needs to stop their crying about profits being down when they pay these talentless/brainless people for entering their casinos. I've stayed at the Wynn each trip over the last 5 years and have seen only one celebrity. And the clubs at the Wynn and Encore were just fine without them.

She is proably more unset about being banned from nightclub, than the legal problems that await her. I thought that she was busted a year ago with drugs? Doesn't Navada have 3 strikes rules?
or some laws that would put this misguided tart in jail for a while, where she belongs?

Apparently Paris can't even pass the 'Vegas' test (minimum requirements). How embarrassing.

drugs isnt a problem for casinos-- its when you get caught that they get upset. if you're going to party like that in las vegas, keep it on the down-low, or make friends with the head of Las Vegas Metro.

why can't we all just get along?

This is the path Paris is on, having dismissed any notion of getting a real career, focusing on something worthwhile to develop herself, and instead, taking the easy path of riding on the coattails and money of her grandparents.

Various Paris-licensed beauty items and apparel, plus appearance fees, royalties, investment interest and always being swagged and compt'd would cover expenses nicely- if there were any expenses. Paris is paid to appear at parties and clubs. Supposedly, old Conrad disinherited her. She was probably given the drugs-or, more likely, it's actually the guy's coke.

Perhaps Mr.Wynn should require a background check for all visitors to his resorts.
Well' there's always the Hilton.

Banning somone for drugs in a Las Vegas casino? Is this a joke? Go to any LV casino nightclub and half the bottle service tables have people snorting Pepsi lines. Let's not even discuss what would happen if they tested pepsi residue in the rooms. This is a huge loss for Wynn. Sure he doesn't need anymore money but getting rid of one of the most talented nightclub impressarios in Vegas history just opened up a feeding frenzy for the competition and in a time when Vegas profits are dwindling, this is not good for Wynn but great for his competitors.

Boring. It's gonna take a lesbian sex tape (with decent lighting) with someone really hot AND famous before Paris Hilton is remotely interesting.
