First Posted: 09/02/10 03:20 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 06:30 PM ET

Floyd Mayweather Jr. went on an racist and homophobic rant about Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao this morning via Ustream. Mayweather referred to Pacquiao as a midget several times and said that once he beats his rival (if the fight ever happens), he will force Pacquiao to "make some sushi rolls and cook some rice." He also said "we're going to cook him with some cats and dogs." Scroll down for the video, which was flagged by You Been Blinded.

They should give Floyd Mayweather the title "#1 Pound for Pound Chicken of the World"...He does too much talking but cant walk the walk. Japanese people create sushi rolls, tempura's and etc. Laos and Viets eat dogs on a regular basis if they could. Certain Filipino tribes eat dog and its very rare because the laws in the Philippines prohibits dog eating. This video proves that Mayweather is uneducated. Its a hate speech against Filipinos. For a boxing celebrity, to talk trash about the Filipino culture lacks class.

What rants...? Hell America is built on indifference & the exploitation of it. Grow some & stop bitching.

I do not get phillipinos making racist rants, most of them are darker than I am.

Show me a Filipino of importance who gave out a racist rant. I'm not talking about idiots on Youtube either. Don't turn this around on Filipinos when Mayweather, who should be smarter than that, posts his idiot racist babbling towards another person. He does it to intimidate, I get it. But think of it this way: if Pacquiao retaliated by posting an equally racially charged video, how do you think the black community would feel?

skin color is not an excuse for making racist rants. are you telling me that if your skin color is darker, you can't be racist? question for you is: do you think Mayweather's tirade were racists in nature?

A large segment of the Filipino community has spent the last year calling Mayweather a n!gger, fagg0t, monkey. And although the entire thing is unfortunate, I can't say that I blame Mayweather for those comments. Fire begets fire. Although Pacquiao himself did not make those comments, Mayweather is lashing out at those in the community who have been making the comments. I don't hear anyone condemning the comments coming out of the Filipino community. People always want black people to take the high road when faced with racism.

I can't speak for most Filipinos but as one myself, I can say that I've heard lots of racist comments regarding blacks. Culturally speaking, dark skin people, even darker skinned Filipinos are looked down upon. You see it on TV in the Philippines and in their movies.

That being said, few countries are as excited for the sport of boxing than the Philippines. Even without Pacquiao, Filipinos are obsessed with pugilist sports. They all marched besides Muhammed Ali during the "Thrilla in Manilla", which to this day is one of the greatest bouts in boxing history. And Filipinos everywhere still pride themselves for hosting that match.

The racism you see coming from Pacquiao fans is less about Mayweather and blacks and more about national pride and sports fanaticism gone wrong. Manny Pacquiao is the biggest and most important sports figure to come out of the Philippines. There may not be another like him. He came from extreme poverty and his story is one that a majority of Filipinos can relate to.

So they take it upon themselves to react viciously to a person who really wishes to take away Pacquiao's pride. They see the Mayweather's drug request as a slap in the face, as if a Filipino couldn't possibly get this far without the aid of drugs. Their reaction is unjustified, but understandable since many sports fans often treat their rivals as bitter enemies.

Even though I don't take his remarks seriously (and most of them were just plain stupid as all racist remarks are), I'm still offended. If Manny himself made racist comments in regards to Mayweather, Manny would be shunned by the entire sports community and the media. But he didn't. You say that Mayweather was lashing out at Pacquiao's fans? Bull. If he was so angry at them, he should have taken it up with them.

This is about money...PPV. While this is a shameless way of drawing attention to what could be the biggest fight...Floyd knowas what he's doing. He will make $50MM-$100MM. Manny will also have his biggest payday. You would not have manny doing this kind of video, because he would not get the kind of attention, plus he's planning on getting into politics. In any event, Floyd has given manny plenty to get fired up about. I see Manny beating Floyd in a decision to set up a even bigger re-match...this is Boxing folks...

Mayweather is right about Pacman which the media wont report.Mayweather said on another webcam that Pacman was a average fighter at 25 and them became this unstoppable midget. The media wants Mayweather to be creamed. Why they wont even comment on Pacman drug allegations? They don't care as long as he beats a black guy.

Just because the Mayweather clan claims Pacquiao uses performance enhancing drugs does not make it so. Have they provided proof? Apparently, Pacquiao has passed all drug tests throughout his boxing career. Stop making unsubstantiated/unproven claims. It makes you look moronic (like the Mayweathers).

So that gives him the right to launch a racist tirade? Whatever. If Pacquiao delivered the same hateful racist speech on Mayweather, the "media" as you call them would never let it go, even if he apologized. And you know what? He would deserve that treatment just as Mayweather does now.

What is wrong with the HP??? Don't they know that Black's cannot be racists!! Its simply impossible... their feelings of racism are the result of years of oppression by the White infrastructure... you know.. the same infrastructure that allowed Mayweather to become a millionaire hundreds of times over....

My guess is that he won't lose a single endorsements unless Filipinos everywhere threaten a boycott on all of his sponsors, which would be a moot point as it would probably have no effect on his earnings. That being said, he has "apologized" though I'll be the first to say, "not accepted".

Why even bother to go there? That would be like adding fuel to fire! As a professional boxer, he represents a certain ideal looked upon by his own people. From where I stand, I see all his actions as acts of cowardice like an empty can making a lot of noise. If his own people would rally behind him under the guise of support and color, we are really threading a dangerous time.
