Tiger Woods NOT Moving To New York: Reports

NOT HAPPENING? Reports: Tiger NOT Moving To NY

Tiger Woods may not be moving to the West Village after all.

Despite Us Weekly's report that the golfer had moved into a downtown bachelor pad, and the New York Daily News' follow-up reporting that he'd been seen unloading boxes into the Printing House building on Hudson Street, two new reports say that's just not the case.

The New York Post's Page Six reported Thursday that "real-estate sources say it's either wishful thinking or a stunt pulled by a landlord to promote his building."

Page Six cited two reasons: first, the apartment isn't fancy enough for Tiger; and Tiger has never been much of a fan of the city, preferring to stay on his yacht, The Privacy, when in town for previous golf tournaments.

"He hates it in New York," Page Six quotes one observer as saying. "Why would he come here when he needs his privacy more than ever?"

Life and Style Magazine talked to a tenant in the Printing House, who said "Tiger definitely doesn't live here." The tenant did say, however, that a Tiger lookalike recently moved into the building.

"There's an African-American man who's seen frequently in the building and dresses like Tiger," a source told Life & Style. "He drives a BMW and is an avid golfer -- he's often seen carrying his golf clubs around. But Tiger definitely doesn't live here."
