Hunger Action Month: How You Can Help

September marks Hunger Action Month and national nonprofit Feeding America is calling upon individuals and communities to get involved in the fight against domestic hunger.

To help achieve this, Feeding America has launched its 30 Ways in 30 Days campaign, calling on everyone to be a part of the solution to this national crisis.

During the entire month of September, more than 200 food banks across the nation are asking people to lend a hand. Dozens of national and local events are planned throughout the month to raise awareness about hunger in America.

Feeding America makes it easy for participants to get involved in the campaign by offering information about hunger-related issues, tips on how to organize community projects, groups to join, and ways to donate. The month is intended to be more than a temporary push and to remind Americans to help hungry families year-round.

Everyone from celebrities to government leaders, grass-roots volunteers to major U.S. corporations have pledged to help. Actor David Arquette, NFL legend Joe Montana, and NASCAR driver Kyle Busch are just a few who have already become a part of the campaign.
