I hate it when the media pits women's body types agaist each other. It shouldn't be Hendricks vs. Moss. We should be celebrating everyone's type.

Additionally this whole thing is moot since Christina Hendricks still has trouble finding a designer who will work with her body. And they keep photoshopping her in to oblivion (London Fog I am looking at you). So the fashion industry as a whole is not celebrating women's figures, they just want you to think that.

Re: Hendricks v.s. Moss--I can't believe that curves will be more sought after than the ubiquitous rail thin model, but if it is true what a refreshing change!

I'm sure I'm in the wrong age group but honestly, I live in a populated urban area in the Northeast and I don't know even one man who wears makeup.

I think it is a very small percentage of men that actually wear make up ptrgamb, but I think more and more men are feeling okay about using products like sunscreen, moisturizer, and other skin care products. I think its great why shouldn't they?

With regards to covering up at work : although Max Weber would say that religious women make for hard workers and women who are modest might make for more productive workers. One ought to however encourage both utility function and liberating clothing in both women and men. Perhaps the focus ought to shift away from productivity (since machines are more productive than humans and humans are not meant to be productive but simply to be kind and loving). Perhaps work ought to be about "working on one's own self" : looking pretty (not ostentatiously so but just attractive) and taking care of one's own health so one may be a positive contribution to society. The question then becomes if the lady who dresses plainly is truly loving : does she take care of herself and will she love those around her. That ought to be more important than decollete.

With regards to comparing the voluptuous with the slim : Although the voluptuous are attractive as a people : if you are looking for intimacy nothing beats a slim girl. Perhaps the ancient Chinese for these reasons engineered their people with the thought that what matters is between the legs (and sometimes between the ears). Honestly speaking perhaps one can only do so much with a pair of over sized mammary glands : in addition they are cumbersome and detrimental to the health and posture of women. A normal sized pair of mammary glands is laudable though the pleasure of intimacy is not reduced by literally non existent ones either. Perhaps, identifying the right fit between the legs ought to be the primary focus. A good indicator is slim hips and could be used as a laudable goal to pursue for the next generation of women.

I don't want a guy who uses make-up, I don't want to wear a cell phone, and I can tie my own laces. (Other than that, "no comment". :)

In regards to pic 9, I want to feel bad about the designers getting ripped off...but I just don't, charging a thousand or more for a handbag - you're the criminal not the street merchant.

Anybody that would pay that much for a handbag I have no interest in dating.

You gotta love 2010 British Fashion Award designer dressed in a slovenly and ill fitting sweater and pants. It just cries out, "i am too busy to dress well". Not a grand selling point or words to follow when picking out a wardrobe, No?
