John Maronto, the football coach at Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, FL, was arrested on Saturday night for soliciting a prostitute.
Police officers went undercover Saturday night as part of a setup to stop prostitution in the beachside area, according to Orlando TV news station CF13.
According to Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood, there is video evidence of the coach talking to an undercover office and offering $50 for sex.
Maronto told the Orlando Sentinel that "the truth will come out."
Maronto, who has led Mainland to a Class 5A state championship in 2003, was one of six people arrested. The charges for the other five include the selling of marijuana and possession of cocaine.
He was released on Sunday after paying a $500 bond.
