Angelina Jolie: Brad Pitt Is The Only Person I Talk To (VIDEO)

Angelina Jolie is in Pakistan, where she has met with the Prime Minister in her role as UNHCR ambassador. On Wednesday she spoke with CNN's Sanjay Gupta via satellite about the flood victims and how she deals with the tragedy she sees.

"I'll talk to my family," she said. "I talk to Brad; he wants to know as much as he can about these issues and every trip. He's been here as well, he came with me after the earthquake. But I don't know, I don't have a lot of friends I talk to. He is really the only person I talk to."

Angelina said that she lets her older children watch the reports about the floods and tries to teach them about what is happening in the countries they are from.

"I tell my children why I'm going and I explain to them why I was packing flashlights and food. They help me pack some things," she said. "It helps them to be better people, to understand a little bit about the world."

I don't know where else to post this...what is the accountability for foreign aid to the Katrina disaster and the Gulf spill.In searching for this info I I see huge numbers from countries (I was surprised by) but yet only 10% of the aid was actually received...other amounts 'uncollectible'...where is this reporting? Can journalists still be capable of 'sniffing' out a story or do they all just add their BS to the AP? To them I say 'get off your butts' and give us some factual info that doesn't involve some spin that you can't even prove if your life depended on.

The headline was of course to grab us. Folks love a little Angie/Brad fodder. It's a shame really, because they both do good works and are good parents.
Their chief job in life is each other and their children, just as it is for most of us who value family and community. They do a fine job of being helpful, compassionate adults and good role models to their children.
People hold grudges too long about the past and forget that we all move forward and mature each day. Turning our thoughts outward to others is part of that and these two shine at that.
Shame the headlines about them hardly ever highlight that.

Angelina Jolie has become an amazing ambassador. Bless her for what she does.

So Angelina is in Pakistan bringing attention to people who are in a DESPERATE situation. I could care less how many friends she has and I'm disgusted that this bit of information is the focus.

Although I wonder how many people were forced to listen to real news when they thought they were tuning in for some tabloid fodder.

Kudos to her - - good interview and I liked her answer to why we need to be optimistic and how important it is to help on the education front.

She's over there helping, making a contribution, letting people know they matter and that someone cares. She's teaching her kids about being a humanitarian. She does a lot more good in the world than alot of the people who post snarky comments here criticizing her.

Blah blah blah... Poor Jolie, all women are jealous of her so no wonder she doesn't have friends... blahblahblah... she does great humanitarian work... yadda yadda yadda... real person... unlike Aniston... Ok... now that the trite stuff is out of the way...

All I can think when I read this is.. "Wow.. that's a lot of pressure for Brad... raising 6 children, working and being his SO's only friend." And, irrespective of what people do, that is not the healthiest dynamic in a relationship.

Hope he didn't expect to keep any part of his previous life when he hooked up with Jolie because I am thinking... he is locked down pretty damn tight now.

So maybe she feels different or isolated. Many celebrities do. But Brad and Angelina have goals in common and obviously love large families. I really think people who make such harsh judgments on celebrities are oblivious to their psychological makeup and projection.

Perhaps but it was not harsh to say this is a lot of pressure on Brad... it just is. He was a very social person before and having children (however many with however many nannies), is not a replacement for time with peers. Be all this as it may - - he signed up for it, so, I am sure he knew what he was getting into.

I am sure she does feel isolated and I am sure the father's betrayal and mother's initial rejection left trust issues... I am sure she'll handle it, she seems strong enough. Anyway, I wasn't commenting on what motivates her behavior; just on the fact that is not an easy position for the "spouse" to be the only friend.

Her movies.. Some I have liked.. some not so much.. but she really does put her heart into her work with Refugees as illustrated by her interviews on the subject.. .. and that is really undeniable.  Her understanding that all People have a  Right to live in Dignity must drive her Father crazy..

She really has grown into her role as a Goodwill Ambassador.. The Lindsay Lohans of the world should take notice and recognize the redemptive powers of sincere service to humanity..

When you are a wife and a mother with six children, you don't have time for "friends". Sure, she's rich and she probably has nannies but she is certainly a loving mother who is deeply involved with the rearing of her children and still attending to (hopefully) the needs of her husband. Why do people put this woman up on a pedestal when they're just going to pull her down? All I want to see of Angelina are pretty pictures and entertaining films and interesting stories about her good works. How she endures the constant efforts to pull her down is a mystery. She must be very, very strong in spirit.
