John Dennis, Nancy Pelosi's Challenger, Calls Her 'Wicked Witch Of The West' In New Ad (VIDEO)

Nancy Pelosi Wicked Witch Of The West
John Dennis has released a new "Wizard of Oz" themed ad that portrays his opponent, Nancy Pelosi, as the Wicked Witch Of The West.

John Dennis, a longshot Republican challenger to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), has brought technicolor to the tea party with a new ad, recently uncovered by a HuffPost citizen journalist on assignment for the Eyes & Ears 2010 program, that seeks to paint his opponent as the "Wicked Witch of the West," the infamous villain in 'The Wizard Of Oz.'

In the ad, directed by Ladd Ehlinger, Jr., the mind behind Dale Peterson's rapid rise to fame, a motley crew of Frank Baumian characters -- a John Boehner-hued scarecrow, a lion (we guess), a chubby tin man, and of course the innocent young Dorothy -- lament the current state of political parties and the heavy taxes brought on by former treasury secretary and "Wizard of Oz" Hank Paulson.

In comes Nancy Pelosi, the "Wicked Witch of the West," piloting what appears to be a flaming airliner, making the innocent "pretties" pay for her expensive San Francisco offices, throwing debt around with "Wall Street bailouts" and sicing her flying IRS tax monkeys on the American taxpayers.

Don't despair however, John Dennis, a tea party-backed Republican candidate running against Pelosi in 8th Congressional District, enters stage-left to throw a scream-inducing bucket of "freedom" all over the Witch's face.

She melts. The end.

So if he's comparing Nancy Pelosi to the Wicked Witch... Which republican will be cast in the roles of the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion? You know, the one's without a brain, heart, or courage?

i can just hear the rest of her minions singing "O-E-O_O-o"

BTW thanks for the $30,000,000 to save a salt marsh harvest mouse (behind closed doors)

I hope Nancy is preparing for a changing of the guard in 2012 when Gavin Newsom will be available. The Dems often make the mistake of waiting too long to prepare their successors.

What is this Saturday Night Live politics (Sorry SNL). Can't politicians show what they stand for instead of trying to distort, act (if that's what you call it), and distract. WTF are you going to do for Americans??? What a waste!!!

Nancy is 100% better looking than the saggy actress they hired to play her and probably 20 years older.

Reminds me of a very bad porn parody of the Wizard Of Oz. Especially Dorothy and the lion! Kept expecting a riff on "oil can".

And isn't the IRS thing played out? I mean the repubs invented it to start with, and I don't see them returning any of the bailout money. Just more duplicity from a candidate with nothing real to offer.

do it now while you can laugh - this old, white male MINORITY is wasting away and going out with the hatred and rage they have perpetrated on the world for centuries.

oh and just a reminder that the president is Black!! HaHaHa!

My concurring comment has been removed for no reason whatsoever, except possibly as a demonstration of what happens when censors are living in the Land of Oz.

I'd sooner vote for the mayor of the munchkin city. Pay no attention to the Boehner behind the curtain.

The GOP has long tried to win elections by demonizing prominent Democrats. Before Pelosi, the GOP consistently bashed Ted Kennedy. A Republican once told me he feared Ted Kennedy! Guess we need now to fear this mother of several and grandmother of many. Conservatives also like to point out that she represents San Francisco, a subtle dig that her constituents include gays (let's fear them!!). Disgusting and uncalled for, but the GOP will stop at nothing to regain power.

Demonization is the only real and permanent political policy platform of the radical wingnut Party - they can't really run on what they really plan to do if elected. Every Republican candidate for national office has at least one ready-made Democratic demon to run against, in addition to the actual candidate he's opposing. For the last 10 years, their masters at the propaganda ministry sometimes known as Faux Noise have been creating their demons for them, well in advance. It saves their employees in the Party the effort and expense of doing it themselves during campaign season.
