My wife's doctor went to college for 10 years to do two things: prescribe meds and take my place as the quarterback on the big day.

I always thought it was a natural thing for the man/dad to look and be okay with looking... otherwise, why are you even in the delivery room?? It shouldn't be haunting or disgusting. It's the birth of your own child...

Men who are not staff/doctors do not belong in the delivery room. Very few if any should EVER be there.

Because for most men it destroys all mystery of the mother to be forever. Only a very small percentage of men are sensitive enough to not be judgemental but for most men, to have sex with their wife/birth mother a few weeks after a birth is akin to going out for hamburger after visiting a slaughterhouse. Too personal an event in regards to woman's for men to be included.

I really hate when men, especially celeb men, speak publicly about the realities of birth. Whatever happened to men shielding their partners' privacy and holding the line between private and public? The grisly CSI scene he describes is his girlfriend's body in the act of birthing. Do you think she wants that on public record?

Geesh!! Men are just as chatty these days as women were ever criticized for being.
