Mike Shanahan's Former Home Sells For $7 Million

The Cherry Hills Village house once inhabited by former Broncos coach Mike Shanahan and his wife, Peggy, has been sold for $7 million, making it the most expensive home sale in the Denver area in roughly two years.

The Shanahans sold the house in 2007 for $16 million. The 104,544 square foot home (photos available here) features 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and a pool on 2.5 acres.

Shanhan was the Broncos head coach from 1995 until 2008, when he was fired. He is now the head coach of the Washington Redskins.

The Denver area luxury home market hit a two-year high this summer, with 67 homes of over $1 million selling in the month of June.

Nonetheless, the Shanahan home sold for just 70% of its original listed price.
