Jennifer Jasinski, Brad Rowell Win Denver Magazine Chef Awards

Denver Magazine handed out its annual culinary awards on Monday night. The magazine awarded its best chef honors to Jennifer Jasinski, chef and co-owner of downtown favorites. Rioja, Bistro Vendome and Euclid Hall.

Jasinski beat out finalists Tyler Wiard of Elway's and Jeff Osaka of Twelve Restaurant for the prize.

Brad Rowell, chef at Colt and Gray, was named culinary rising star, edging out Chris MacGillivray of Olivéa and Argyll's Sergio Romero.

Randy Layman of Vesta Dipping Grill was named mixologist of the year Greg Bortz of The Denver Bread Co. won Baker of the Year.

The winners were chosen after the Magazine's editorial team consulted with "chefs, sommeliers, farmers, instructors, and other industry professionals."
