How quickly the media forgets his Irgun terrorist father killed unarmed women and children in a massacre of Palestinians. What if the son of Hitler was running for mayor?

No give backs. We don't want him. He can run and lose, but that is it.

LOL, that was very close, including the "pretty please," to what I was going to say!

Fanned!

Let him run. Let him loose. Then let's see if he becomes the donkey in the room and become 'just another lobbyist'. I just want him to go away. He and Axlerod were bad in advising and protecting Obama.

If Rahm had worked for meaningful infrastructure spending in the stimulus bill, instead of tax cuts for cronies and attempts to hit an arbitrary number, I might think he might be remotely qualified for mayor, but as it is, his utter lack of respect for the basic functions of government make me think he would be the last person we need as mayor.

City government is about services: education, transportation, communications, sanitation, public health, public safety, environmental health, disaster preparedness, cultural affairs, parks and recreations, social services. There's also all that zoning and business stuff. And a lot of services tie directly to business growth - businesses benefit from a well-educated workforce that can get to work in a timely manner. A city that invests in transportation now, especially freight transportation will better serve the business community in the future. Better communications structure with a focus on IT will also serve business.

But none this matters to Rahm. He's just about the professional wrestling aspects of politics and the fundraising. Look what happened to Freddie Mac under his watch - political contribution scandal after scandal, while he got rich.

Under Daley, many neighborhoods were under-served. TIFs put an unfair burden on middle-class homeowners, but at least SOME aspects of civic governance were attended to. And the parking meter thing goes without saying.

But all of this would be worse under Rahm. And that's why he isn't fit to be our mayor, or even a Water Reclaimation District Commissioner.

When Rahm ran for congress, his campaign put a sign on my yard saying "another neighbor for Emmanuel". I called to complain (was supporting his opponent) and the next day, as if by magic, a porta-potty was put in front of the house!
That's how he rolls!
I want him out of the whitehouse but... not if it means having him as mayor, thanks.

Pitiful. He's gotta confirm he can win before he actually decides to run. SMHIS. I guess he really isn't that passionate about being the Mayor of Chicago.

I'd rather have him OUT of the WH.

I'd rather have him ANSWERABLE to the people he serves than a single individual in the WH.

I'd rather have him "pissing out rather than pissing in" as LBJ would say.

I am sorry, but anyone who would vote for this clown for anything needs his head examine.

From day one, Rahm has never been on the people's side; he's been only on HIS side, infecting the naive and bumbling Obama all the while from head to toe behind our backs ... give it 5-10 years and by then the political historians will have found out all the incredible damage he has inflicted upon us via his secure unchallengable nest in the White House.

Bluedog Rahm needs to get the heck away from the White House and stop advising the president.

He's got to leave, but he's not welcome here.

Hey, Rahm, don't interview for another job while making a mess of the one you have.
