During a good fashion week, many things are awe inspiring; the cut of a complex coat, the innovative use of fabric. Frequently most impressive, though, are the downright zany, terrifyingly vertiginous shoes in which models somehow manage to strut their stuff. Here now for your viewing pleasure, a collection of the craziest, most unexpected shoes this particular fashion week had to offer. Take a look and tell us which ones you'd like to wear!

I Love the Christian Siriano for Payless collection personally.

I would wear just about any of them. Really cute shoes!

The Rodarte shoes might look good - I like the Imari-style print - but it's hard to tell in that photo.

BUT - ankle-high white nylons? Really? Is that my Aunt Edna on the runway?

None of these seem totally, ankle-breaking crazy.

Makes the loss of Alexander McQueen more painfully obvious.

Message to shoe designers - design some really cool shoes with a 2 inch heel - enough to elevate you a bit while still being able to walk comfortably and safely. High heels are dangerous, hideous torture devices.

Three brief observations: I appreciate Siriano's originality especially for the Payless market, but his shoes are over-designed. Chris Benz clearly hates feet, and slide 12 looks like a python swallowing a foot.

Interesting and decorative ways to break an ankle - then again, I'm a Birkenstock kind of girl, so I wouldn't even try to walk in something like that.

My feet hurt just looking at some of those shoes. I love my Birks and my Keens!

So much imagination and innovation with the heels. Don't like any of these shoes that go up to the ankle. It's extremely unflattering to cut the line of your leg and few women can pull it off. Best to wear them with pants if you must wear them at all.
