'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia ' On Politics: The Political Musings Of America's Drunkest Show

We love "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" for a variety of reasons, but what always amazes us is how they mock politically sensitive subjects without being heavy handed. In honor of their Season 6 premiere last night, we look back at their greatest political moments and what we learned from them.

Abortion
1 of 8
THE STORY: Mac, who is oddly conservative for a man who has as much sex as he does, joins up with an anti-abortion group as Sweet Dee (the only woman) protests for a woman's right to choose. Dennis (who just wants to get laid) ends up LITERALLY on the fence between the two sides and is therefore egged for several minutes. Of course, in the end, Mac's conservative girlfriend (whom he snagged with his anti-abortion rhetoric) says she's pregnant and he asks her to get an abortion.

KEY QUOTES:
Mac: "I hate dead baby fetuses, you know why? Because they are dead and they shouldn't be. They should be alive, and they should be loved."

Mac: "It's nobody's choice! It should be left up to God!"
Dee: "Is he jo...? Is that...? Are you... joking?"
Mac: "No, it's not a joke! You remember Genesis? Book two, verse three: And he breatheth into the nostrils of Adam on the first day and it was good."

Dee: "You're gonna throw away all your convictions for a chance to get laid?"
Dennis: "I don't really have any convictions."

WHAT WE LEARNED:
1) Abortion is wrong but killing abortion doctors is fine. (MAC)
2) Birth control is against God's plan, but abortion is fine. (CHARLIE)
3) Your convictions should be based on what hot women believe. (DENNIS)
