'Bridalplasty' To Combine Extreme Plastic Surgery & Dream Wedding Competition (POLL)

First Posted: 09/18/2010 11:26 am Updated: 05/25/2011 5:40 pm

Get ready to set your TiVos...or maybe not. E! is planning a new reality series called "Bridalplasty," The Hollywood Reporter's James Hibberd reports. On each episode, a group of brides-to-be will compete in wedding-themed challenges like writing vows and planning honeymoons to be awarded different cosmetic surgeries. The week's winner gets her procedure done and the results are shown at the beginning of the following week's episode.

Then, according to the report, one-by-one the women are voted off of the show by their competitors:

The last bride standing will receive a "dream wedding," where she will reveal her new appearance to friends, family and the groom. "Viewers will witness his emotional and possibly shocked reaction as they stand at the altar and he lifts her veil to see her for the first time following her extreme plastic surgery," E! said.

Shanna Moakler is set to host and celebrity surgeon Terry Dubrow (of Fox's "The Swan") is also onboard. No word yet on when the first episode will air.

What do you think?

Quick Poll

Will you watch "Bridalplasty"?

DEFINITELY!

Definitely NOT!

We'll see.

Entertainment channel? should be more like the discovery channel with the way these women act i nthe months leading up the wedding it's like they become a different kind of human. Besides every houswife show can beat this in a heartbeat.

This is shockingly bizarre! Really, they will surprise their new husbands with plastic surgery. How heartwarming.

This show is a train wreck. They should schedule it opposite Sarah Palin's Alaska.

Totally disgusting! Basically, they're saying the bride isn't perfect but they will make her that way. What a message to send to our young girls today! It wouldn't surprise me to see prospective grooms running the other way, rather than marrying these women. Who is sponsoring this travesty? Botox? Which pharmaceutical company?

sponsored by the freedom of a woman's right to choose ... It's her body and she can do what she wants.

Absolutely Disgusting!

The only thing that I could think of which would be worse than this show is a show centered around Sarah Palin and her mangling of the English language, as she brags about herself.

Oh crap... *facepalm*

It will likely go the way of The Swan. Besides, the French have exhausted our supply of Davinci Veneers and negotiations with Canada have stalled on toxic waste sites to bury our women when the time comes.

If it wasn't for The Soup, I would block E from my channel lineup.

My God, how I HATE reality shows.
It's like, if you put a Reality T.V. show and the Tea Party together side by side, and set them both on fire and told me I could only put one of them out, I'd put out the Tea Party.
THAT'S how much I hate Reality T.V.
