12-Year-Old Walks Across America For Homeless Youth

A Florida boy has walked 2,500 miles to raise awareness about homeless youth, Tampa Bay Online reports.

Zach Bonner, a 12-year-old from Valrico, Fla. arrived in Los Angeles Tuesday after beginning what he calls a "March Across America" on March 23.

Though conditions were sometimes harsh, Bonner kept on for the cause, he told TBO.

When he considered giving up, he thought about the homeless kids who wanted to stop being homeless but had no choice. His empathy for them kept him going.
